The Holy Spirit-Driven Story Behind Woman, Thou Art Loosed!
In 1991, T.D. Jakes was speaking at a small Bible store convention in Poconos, Pennsylvania. As he walked through the hallways, he bumped shoulders with another man. That man felt the Holy Spirit leap within him and told Jakes, “I believe I’m supposed to pray for you.” Jakes said that he felt that he was supposed to pray for the other man, too!
After they had finished praying, he asked the man who he was. The man revealed his name was Don Nori Sr, the publisher for Destiny Image. Jakes remarked he’d been looking for a publisher.
Don Nori Sr. joined T.D. Jakes’ session, listening to him preach an anointed message about women’s empowerment. Instantly, Nori knew that this was the message that needed to be published.
The result was Woman, Thou Art Loosed!
